This won't be available to HD3000 series will it. Even though I'm sure it could do it. :ohwell:

There won't be any eyefinity support for non HD 5xxx series cards. That is one feature they were created with and that the older cards do not have. Although, I am impressed that they got eyefinity working in Linux x86/x64. I just wonder how many games support it. Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory with Eyefinity would be bad ass!

Hopefully now with a huge increase in pixels we can go triple/quad Crossfire not only for the ePeen, but for the needed performance.

NVIDIA already can, It's just not in games yet. It's the driver things.

You can stretch your desktop screen across multiply monitors as long as you have monitor"s".

All NVIDIA needs to do are:

Put more Display Port on the cards
Update their drivers

Done.

Couldn't get my GTX260 to do that properly. Eyefinity seems to be doing it better.

Has anyone tried eyefinity in crossfire (excluding 5970) to verify it works?

eyefinity is nice feature for 58** and 57** cards sure (no eyefinity for 56** and lower cards) ,but there are old cards can benefit from eyefinity. There are some AIB cards out there can have eyefinity but lacking only driver/software support probably .

I think there is not any hardware related reason they cant use eyefinity (with an active adapter or DP monitor) .

There won't be any eyefinity support for non HD 5xxx series cards. That is one feature they were created with and that the older cards do not have.
