Well i think this is what im gonna go for...

Intel e8400 3.0 Ghz

Asus P5E X38 DDR2 - 1600mhz

4GB Corsair Dominator PC-8500 with cooling fan

640GB Western Digital HDD

Pioneer DVD/RW (cheap as chips lol)

Antec three hundred gaming case

ATi Radeon 4870 512mb PCI-E

Only thing im undecided on is the PSU, im probs gona add a second 4870 down the line sometime so its gonna need some head room. Any suggestions?

Its all going to run on Vista Home Premium 64-bit. For gaming n some 3d work, n overclocked sometime.

I havent maxed out my budget so ive got some spare aside from the PSU, any suggestions would be great. Thanks guys! :rockout:

If possible try and get an E0 E8400, if you plan on overclocking they do better than the other steppings (C0 and C1 and maybe M0). I second Shadowfold's PSU recommendation, never have I seen so many people recommend PSU's like people do the Corsair PSUs.

remember to buy some fans for that 300 - just did a build with one, you only get 2 and both are exhaust. Some low rpm yate loons will do a lovely job :toast:

Oh yea get 3 120mm. Two for the front and one for the side! The ones it come with on the back and top are NICE, they are quiet and move a ton of air!
