This will be my first build and would like everyones advice..Will this be able to clock to 1600 fsb and will my two 8800 gt's run in sli at 16x.....It says 16x2 but will it limit it to 8x2 in sli?
Also what OS will be best for me....im a hard core gamer. Also do you see anything i forgot that i will need. Heres what im ordering

thats good kit, but i would swop the silver 5 for mx-2, although some may disagree
and if you didnt already know, the freezer 7 comes with pre-applied mx-2

Screenshots look fine. I'm pretty sure that you're mobo does indeed do SLI at 2x16. If it supports triple, that's probably 3x8, but not sure. Good mobo and powersupply were what i'd suggest but you have that down.

For OS, I'd go Vista 64 Ultimate. Take advantage of that 4 gigs of ram and some games run better under their 64 bit code. Not much reason to go 32 bit anymore.

Get OCZ Freeze thermal paste its alot better and non-conductive. And go with Vista. I'm a gamer and it seems to be the best. Also that board is 8x+8x SLi PCI-E2.0 so its just as good as PCI-E1.1 16x+16x.

You should just double up on the Sony DVD/Combo SATA drive and drop the Sony DVD IDE. Ribbon cables don't look too good now adays.

u can save some more money, look for case/power supply combos, i got very good deal with rosewill. dd2 ram is very good choice. u might want to get fans controller to quiet unnecesery noise. your video cards should run fine.

I thought the 750i only had 1 PCI-E 16x 2.0 lane on it?

Edit:
A buddy of mine actually has that exact same board, but he only runs one video card on it, when he was going to buy it he wanted my advice and I warned him about the 16x 8x thing and he found different sites saying different things. (16x/16x, 16x/8x, 8x/8x)
I would check for you by putting my GPUs in his sytem, but I KNOW he won't go for that.

MX-2 is probably the best choice out on the egg. Of course, the cool laboratories liquid TIM (conductive but best out there) and Diamond IC 7 is top choice. AC Freezer does come with MX-2 applied so you are good to go there. I personally dont like your case, but thats just me. The NZXT tempest is a beast though, and cheaper.

I have one myself, the board DOES have twin 16* pci-e slots. The manual was a misprint. I was told this by the guys and girls at the EVGA website.

Perosnally, I'm very happy with the performance of my 750ftw mobo. About getting 1600 fsb with the e8400, I get 1700 fsb, which gives me a OC of 3.88 with no voltage increases. Check my system specs for the OC's I run.
