well for now, i was really wondering about the psu. do i have to buy that overpriced auxilairy psu? wouldn't it just be cheaper to buy an atx psu and stash it some where then buy that drive bay psu for so much more money. and even before that, we cant i just get a really powerful psu. like a 1600w with like 100 amps. rather then 2 seperate psus. like the requirements for the tech i was looking at was like 437w and 24 amps. and 75 amps should be sufficent for my system?(q6600 g0, x1950xt (waiting for dx10.1 cards..)

and whats the clamp thing about? i read in a tec guide, like we have to clamp down the tec and stuff with like 200 pounds or somehting? what do i do there. i mean i though i just take a cold plate, put the tec on top, and then the water block, and i use artic silver 5(none of that liquid junk, still as5 all the way) to get em to all stick?

i'll post my cart up in a bit, using frozencpu.com atm, any other good sites?

You cant use another ATX power supply without modifying it to give power without a motherboard. A power supply doesn't work unless you have a motherboard to tell it to come on, an aux PS constantly supplies power IIRC.

I am sure that if you had a 1000W PS, you would be FINE running a decent TEC.

okay, cause a 600w aux. is like 159 bucks, and thats enough to get like a 1200w atx one. and you can get a relay switch for the wc system and most wc systems come with a thing to make the psu run without a mobo for like leak testing, etc.
