i would just do the washing machine thing sounds way cooler :laugh:

You could pretend you have hidden the keyboard someplace on the planet, then give out vague clues (perhaps in a limerick given out on a 1 line a day basis to make it kinda fair) about its hiding place. And you could choose a bizarre and funny place. Our local newspaper has a contest like that each year and the clues are printed in the paper each day till someone finds the prize,... Just a thought.
