Flash Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Gaming OC to Aorus?

Hey guys,

My core temperatures are still very low at 65 degrees max and the GPU is just running into it's power limit all the time. Now my card can only raise the powerlimit to 112% but the Aorus edition has a limit of 123%. Is it safe to flash the Aorus bios?

My bios:
90.04.76.00.DE

Aorus:
90.04.76.00.D4

The only difference I can spot is a slightly higher boost clock and a raised power limit. Would be interested to know if people tried it before I start messing about.

Thanks.

Flashed it without issues. Unlocks higher power limit and higher boost clocks. But when running. The actual power limit is still limited around 112%. Seems like a hardlimit?

Nice thanks for stepping up and getting it done.. Looks like it helped a bit but still looks Power bound... If the same thing happens here thinking about the Shunt resistor mod. I do want to find the correct resistence which will free it up with out tripping the safety. How is it going for you?

It's not power bound. It's voltage bound I think. I tried to raise voltage to 1.089v and it made a difference.

It‘s also temp bound, need to get those temps down in the 50s or below to get really high boost. Nvidia boost 4.0 lowers gpu clock every temp step higher 15 MHz down. To unleash the beast need to go water cooling :-;

From what I have seen and read.... If you bios flash - generally... There is no boost - There is enough difference in the cards that the code goes... dumb (for lack of a better word) There are no longer any automated adjustments and everything is set manually. On my buddys system we figured out that you are no longer adding percentages of power above stock. You are now entering the values you want to use directly in MSI AB. Just like you would normally do on AMD cards. Cidous, if you are voltage bound did you do the MSI AB .cfg mods. They will unlock most if not all of the software related protections. The mod is in this forum. If you have trouble finding it I copied the notes and will repost them here - just let me know.
