Flashing Sapphire Pulse Rx 580 8gb 2048sp

Hi all, i recently got scammed into buying a rx 580 2048sp version. I wish to flash it with a bios of 1366mhz core clock. These are my gpu z screenshots.

Hi, I was fooled and thought it's RX 580 but I got Sapphire pulse Radeon RX 580 2048SP for my hackintosh. It didn't work with MAC obviously and now I am trying to flash an RX 570 vbios or edit the existing bios to have a device id 67DF instead of the odd 6FDF that I have right now. I backed up...

Looks ok from the device id and vram, not sure if theres any effect from flashing 2304 bios to 2048 card, likely none though do so at your own risk, where did you buy the card from?

Do you mean the second bios that i posted is okay? I bought the card from lazada which is an online shopping website in southeast asia.

I got the same card. You need to flasg Micron compatible Bios no other ones will work including the Samsungs. We have the same card i bought it used and I had to flash my bios. I almost bricked it. You should be flashing the 1340 for quiet mode and the 1411 for performance mode. The modes have a bios switch on the card.

It's a 2048sp sapphire pulse. There's no dual bios on it. The second bios that i posted is with micron memory so it'll work right?

The second bios is a micron bios so it should work as long as you're sure you got the right model.

why dont you just overclock in software, there's no reason for bios

did you pay a price lower than other 580s available to you? was the seller strongly claiming that it's not 2048sp? is the seller a random person that doesnt sell often? lazada or your payment method doesnt have a dispute feature (depending on what the seller wrote in the item page)?

if the product is not as described he is forced by law to fully refund you and take the product back. (even if it's a private sale)

It's a long story. i bought this card back in May. I was still inexperienced and have just built my first pc. In the online store, it didnt say anything as 2048sp. I didnt even know such card existed. I bought from him because he said there's a warranty. There are other non 2048sp cards with the same card but no warranty. So i was scared of it and bought from him. When the card arrived, i couldnt check because it was during the covid 19 outbreak and i mistakenly store my power cable into my dorm's storage room(im in a public university) and then the room was locked. There was no way for me to test it until mid of June. When i found out, the seller had ran away with no contact. At least i didnt get a brick. Sad but at least i learnt something.

A good scammer can easily hide themselves, how can you force a refund on someone you cant find.

Depends on the method of payment. Banks usually have some form of protection if you paid by debit or credit card

Well technically i was scammed. I was expecting to get a rx 580 but instead i got a rx 580 2048sp which is just a rx 570.

Face to face doesn't make it any better. When I first switched to the Iphone years ago I had bought it off Craigslist and met up with the person face to face in a public place. I opened the box and turned it on to make sure it was working and it did. It was an Iphone 6 I think brand new. What a good deal I thought but still pricey. I was saving only a $100 bucks @ Apple so I was sold. When I got home and started setting up the phone, the app store would open direct to the Google Play Store. I was like WTF! Then I realized it was a very well made clone and that I got ripped off! True story I still have it in my closet in its original box! From what I could tell the box manual and charger were the only thing that was real! :banghead:

Hey man, before i flash the bios. Do i need to install the amd drivers first? Because i have another gpu but it's nvidia. Im worried if that i bricked the gpu and i wont be able to get display anymore even from the nvidia gpu because i have installed the amd drivers. It happened on my second pc where i cant get display if i switch to integrated graphics because amd driver was installed. Is it okay if i used ddu to remove the current drivers then just not install any display drivers after i finish flashing the gpu?
