Flickering Screen!

hello everybody,, am back after finishing my exams

following ur advice, i've bought the Gigabyte GT240 DDR3 graphic card. However, i've just encountered a little annoying problem using that card... the flickering screen!

the card works fine but once i play a vgame with high graphics my screen flickers (it refreshes the input mode!) with a "zzzzzz" sound!! this happens during the game whenever it initializes its environment...

any ideas about how to overcome that?

Edit: I am using a BENQ LCD Monitor whose resolution is 1440*900

Have you updated the drivers to the most recent version? If it still flickers, I would try the drivers before it to see if it is a driver problem.

Is the power stable? how about temps?

My screen flickers when I try 8*AA on my 8600GT, could be the card not strong enough to handle it.
