Price: $200 shipped. Price is firm as I am quite busy so to make it worthwhile to ship.

Description: I purchased this board as used (from another person) to build a software development build machine, but so far I haven't had the time and we are just using the cloud build capability, so it is unlikely we will ever get to use it. Works great. NOTE: The PCI-e clip for the first video card slot is out. I will include it if you want to put it back. This does not affect functionality as you need to fasten the card to the case anyway.

Description: Backup board and was not used much at all. The thing I love about these boards is that they come with the SoundBlaster card with the Sound Core3D chip, which is the same as the SoundBlaster Z. Card alone is worth $50. These board are great for gaming. I just have too many things around.

Ah darn, the Extreme 9's don't seem to have the NVMe BIOS update. The ASRock X77 and X79 boards are my favorites. I'm debating it now in my head. But I wish it had the NVMe boot update.

I have not kept up with the tech, what is NVMe BIOS update? Does it allow you to have a PCIe x4 card with NVMe drive to boot?

Yes! It makes it more likely to work, especially with Samsung NVMe SSDs. There's some work around if it doesn't have the NVMe BIOS update but for me it seemed a bit risky. NVMe works no problem if using it like any other drive for non-boot of course (at least with Windows 10). It seems hit or miss on the boards, there's a few random ones that did get the update, some are beta BIOS, some are regular BIOS.

Not saying it's a bad board though! I like all the Extreme series boards from Asrock around Z77/X79/Z87. The Extreme 9's are damn good!

Yes 1 is still left. The first PCI-2 locking mechanism is nearly broken, but the slot functions as normal and you just need to lock the video card to the case. It is a cheap and flimsy piece of plastic like most motherboards of the day.

Not sure how reliable the following source is, but if it's 1660 V2 compatible, it should be all 16xx V2.

Hmm, I am not so sure. I did see in the past EVGA Dark x79 board that does not officially support a particular Xeon, if I remember correctly, it was either the E5-2680 v1 or 2670 v1, and it exhibits a strange behavior where the Turbo Boost does not work properly similar to this -
