formula 5 vs as5 !!!

BLARGLR!!!!!!!! :mad:

i found my as5 i had formula 5 on my watercooling setiup so i ripped it apart and put as5 just a have a rice grain rubbed it around with a plastic baggy like aslways in the ceneter booted into windows and 5c higher in all aspects at idle and top end...!!! WTF!!! im going back to formula 5...as5 has lost my vote for awhile.. :banghead:

AS 5 requires a "burn in" period of a few hours to get full performance out of it. You should have left it on for a few days then checked results.

well fine ill let it burn in for a couple hours and check my temps again!!!

it also has thermal cycles (i think thats what its called) let it burn in for a few days. don't forget to turn it off every now and then to let it cool then heat up again

but my thing is formula 5 is supposidly the same exact product and it ran cooler right off the bat! so it got me thinking?

I've only used the Formula 5 before

I can't say whether or not it's better than AS5 but it's definitely better than the stock intel paste.

I got a 8c drop when I changed pastes

I use AC MX-2 anymore, AS5 isn't bad, but I would just rather use something that's easier to apply and works without the need of a 100+ hour break in period to work. There are many good modern TIM's out there, really you can't lose and MX-2 and AS5 aren't even the best in many findings, but in your case I'd say go with what works for sure! Can't argue with results that you can actually see!

If I remembered correctly, curing period takes about 3 days or 42 hours straight.
