Fortissimo III 7.1 (CS4624) under 64-bit Windows

Hi,

I see a lot of good driver modding is going on here, so I wanted to see if anyone stumbled upon "my" problem.

Having a Hercules Gamesurround Fortissimo III 7.1 under Win XP Pro SP3 32-bit, where it works like a charm.

I installed now Win 7 RC 64-bit (dual-boot, of course) and it seems there is no 64-bit support for my soundcard, nor the chip itself (CS4624).

Therefore I ask kindly if you now anything about that (64-bit support for my soundcard), or I will have to grab an Audigy SE and mod it to an X-FI?

Any help appreciated!

I have Realtek ALC662 on board, never tried it, though...

Case solved.

Bought an Audigy SE and softmodded it to X-Fi Extreme Audio

you should tried the realtek to x-fi driver mod first
