So, this actually is a good idea. It does however, expose the problem with the “like” system. It really points more to a post rating system, similar to what @Vayra86 proposed.

That might provide a truer picture of experts, et al. Some titles for many people did align correctly based just on “likes”, but that system does have flaws.

My main input on security has been to share information that I found pertinent across the web, but with this title I feel like some people might expect technical knowledge from me, when all I have is common sense about how to protect your computer. The idea is nice, but on some case ( especialy controversial news like CTS) it may lack accuracy...

Wow these new tags are really bad. Why even have them...So if I post some BS in an Overclocking thread suddenly I am an Overclocking Master? How does post count correlate to knowledge? While I do understand the intent I think it falls totally flat and gives new users a false sense of who actually knows what they are talking about...if they knew it was just determined by post count I think the opinion of those tags would tank. This is so unbelievably easy to take advantage of...and it will happen.

It’s “like” count in a sub forum, not post count. Same kind of situation though, I agree.

That’s what I was getting at earlier about how a post rating system might be better than a like-based system for determining these badges.

You're right, I can actually see the white background color in between the separate badges. On desktop there such a small portion of the screen that it all kind of just looks like a long rectangular green bars :rolleyes:

. I do like the unobtrusive layout though
