increased the space between tags slightly.

To people who think the rating isn't ideal, that's because the system has very little data. This is tied to thread tags (which you see at the top of some recent threads).

the new rating system has been enabled for public, test run until tomorrow morning my time or so. have fun with it. it will synchronize the likes, so if you +1..+3 a post it will automagically like that same post, -1 and 0 will remove the like

Isn't that too little time? To get the feel of how it's working / not-working, shouldn't the testing time be like one week or two?

I'd think an optional drop down menu next to system specs called something like "best known for" type deal. "Most liked in" or "most helperful."

I do like that it lets you see who down voted the post, & that the content stays visible. I think it's a tad early to say certainly (in case of changes ,etc) but this method seems amicable , & fair. I think i could get on board thise vote system

I think this change has started the boulder down the slippery slope of Facebookification. Actually, it started with replacing Thanks with Like. I want Thanks back; I want Like and Rate gone. It was a simple system that worked--was positive in nature.

The new badges I find annoying. They distract from meaningful content. WCG and F@H were good because they advertised/honored donors which are both intrinsically good things that lead to more good things.

TL;DR: This new stuff is promoting the "us versus them" mentality that is already destroying the world. Please don't let it destroy TPU too.

These new badges are kind of funky. Is there a breakdown anywhere that details how one achieves these badges? or is it down to how many posts we have in one subsection? Because if that's the case, I would like a badge called 'Lounge Monkey' because I spend a lot of time in the lounge sub forum.

Are these badges also to show that we know what we are talking about when it comes to a certain topic?? be it VGA Bios's, Motherboards or Overclocking?? Cuz im an expert in every one. Since it seems to be a ranked thing, Im guessing it is also some sort of accreditation or 'certification' as if it were that we are knowledgeable in that field to a certain degree.
