Forum upgrade complete

Someone made mention of attaching images directly to the thread posts too, but I want to remind users that TPU has its own image hosting that works excellent and I've been using it for 10+ years now. Techpowerup.org , which received some upgrades just mere months ago as well. W1z has been damn busy and I think overall his efforts have been hugely successful.

So, this new feature doesn't attach it to the forums? Not sure what you are saying here... as you are giving another option and saying otherwise? I had to have missed something?

It worked for me. Look at my post last night in What Are You Playing. Those were all placed directly in the thread tool right there. Indeed, I tried to do it through the image hosting on TPU.org, but it turned out to not accept that link. It asked for the direct link to my pictures. So I obliged, since it is one less step.

It be nice to have the font size larger on mobile.. TPU home page is fine and typing this message is fine with large font but just going through the thread it's quite small. Using Chrome and S8.

I'm sure it does, I have no involvement with the development of this forum, I am merely a mod.

I've used Techpowerup.org to upload images, then copy and paste the code into my posts for over a decade now. That's all I was suggesting as an option that should still work great. Many folks use a different third party image hosting solution on this forum, before Xenforo 2.0 when TPU had one all along that is actually pretty awesome. That's all I was saying.

I copied the link as I always did on .org, and the in the image posting box there was a blank box to insert that .org address. However, click in that larger box now and it immediately brings up your pictures library on your PC. I'm not complaining, as it is simpler, just pointing out the old way is either broken or superfluous.

No, I get it... and thank you for sharing that option. With the wording used, it appeared that the drag and drop doesn't upload to TPU which sounded silly.

Below is a screenshot snip I took with Greenshot of the initial Techpowerup.org upload section. I then uploaded this screenshot there and copied the BBC code into my post where I want it as I've always done. I don't use the image insert in most cases, but the BBC code works fine as you can see below.

Now I'll insert an image below using the HTTP link by using the Insert Image (crtl+P) feature and choosing "By URL". Then I'll copy and paste the Image URL from my image upload.

It works as you can see below.

Works fine for me both ways. So maybe what wasn't working has since been fixed? As I said above I primarily use BBC code to insert images into my posts. Maybe you can do some testing or show us what isn't working for you?

btw if you use tpucapture you can get get your image embed tags even more quickly, windows photo viewer, screenshot key, drag area you want, click upload, copy and paste tags, boom

There's a by URL button just above the large box if you want to put an image into a thread the way it used to be done- click it and paste your link there

Part of the old layout is back which worked for the place, the ui is fine now, the layout is great now.

500 errors were due to me messing around with the sigpic plugin and breaking things on the way. Should all be fixed now and sigpic plugin working.

I reduced the strength of the highlight a bit, it's still there

Avatar size has been increased. Is it too big now?

Looks good to me, just about the same size as they were before. Haven't checked on mobile, but on Windows in Chrome, the avatar size is about spot on imho.
