We decided not to go with the in-line ads. The annoyance factor is just too big considering the income they offer.

W1zz sorry but for ME (and apparently others) they were way too annoying in their form.

you may be able to implicate them another way so that you can still benefit financially from them?

Thanks W1zz, I think that's a great move. However, to offer some more constructive criticism, here is somewhere I feel ads might be more successful. The highlighted area below is just empty space really, and would be a good opportunity to place an advert without it being quite as intrusive. I don't know what other people think, but I can't see it being such a problem myself.

I wouldnt mind seeing advertisements there if they were placed to move in a similar fashion as that sign in Wall Street in front of the Dow Jones where the stocks just move straight across, though instead of stocks it could list the names of every card for both Nvidea and AMD (Formerly ATI) and make each name of the video card a link to a website that pays you to have people go to its site to buy the card or at least to go to their site. That would be a good use of space imo thats not distracting and not something that you will only glance at its short, informative, and gets right to the point :toast:

Put a small bar of them on one side or the other, that isn't too distracting, while still allowing a auto sizeing of the posts to fit.

thanks w1zz, and as loads of people have people have set already, put the ads in the headers and footers, and most people wont mind, as long as they are not very flashy
