Using the adapter shown by micropage above, yes but you'll want to check the specs on your power supply to make sure it's strong enough. Each 8-pin PCIe power plug is designed to take up to 12.5 amps on your 12v rail. Your power supply will need to provide however many amps are already being used by your system plus up to 12.5a per 8-pin and 6.25a per 6-pin PCIe power plug you add.

yeah, six pin to 8 pin will work as I have used them in the past. But a new powersupply should be in order.

Using power adapters isn't recommended at the current PC hardware era. Graphic cards today use up to 300 watts. The power supply must be designed to supply such amount from the rail. The only acceptable adapter is double 6-pin to single 8-pin.

CM's old units like that Extreme Power series were known to be trash and you should get a new PSU regardless of using the 2060 or not.

Same here, my young nephew made this mistake a few years ago with his 1st rig and those crappy adapters, although he was using a new/current gen 750w psu, i7-6700k, & a 1080Ti....
Fortunately, I notice his mistake and helped him fix it before he really started using the machine for heavy gaming

Yes please dont do it. I have personally made this mistake years ago which resulted in a dead PSU. My GPU survived luckily, and replacement PSU cost 1/3 of what I (my dad) paid for the card. I had no money though and little knowledge. Dads approach was to replace broken components only, on the advice of the local PC shop. This actually cost him more in the long run as the cheap components failed almost on a yearly basis.
