Foxconn, a global innovator and channel manufacturer of electronics and computer components, announces the release of the quietest NanoPC AT-5250, which is about to keep your surroundings silence in the next upcoming months. The latest AT-5250 with Intel GMA 3650 HD boosts graphics and CPU processing capabilities while maintaining energy efficiency to create a palm-sized home theater PC capable of high-definition video playback and lightning-fast system responsiveness. The elegant design can go with the environment freely, meeting the high-end needs of sales centers and real sales presentation who are seeking for a powerful tower PC replacement, home theater or energy-efficient PC.

AT5250 connsumes around 15W idle and 24W under load, which is the equivalent of somewhere between an Ultrabook and a regular laptop and low enough to be passively cooled. What's distinctly unlaptop-like, though is the 190 x 135 x 38 mm form factor, which should sit discreetly on your desk, below your TV or on a VESA mount, and also the price, which is expected to be similar with mini-ATX budget barebones but with a pair of USB 3.0 ports,Gigabit LAN, a multilingual card reader and built-in 802.11n WiFi.

The inside Cedar Trail processor will usher in faster and lower power transistor that will enable higher performing and lower power processors. NanoPC barebone fits all the severe weather and environment. It could be utilized widely on electronic billboards, streaming media, mobile ads and broad advertising applications. In addition, NanoPC could also be applied on terminal system such as ATM system, monitoring system and sales system.

HDMI 1.4--- Enjoy your sensational experience never before
Juggling the work or entertainment will never happen when you have a NanoPC. You can use HDMI to watch TV on a separate screen. HDMI and S/PDIF output sports ensure a full HD 1080p home entertainment experience; while the built-in 802.11n WLAN and Ethernet LAN port keeps you connected to your home network. With HDMI 1.4, NanoPC supports 3D function which makes you enjoy your sensational experience never before.

USB3.0--- Data transfer rates up to 10X faster
With two front USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0, AT-5250 will maximize the performance with different device at the same time without any additional consumption. Two front USB 3.0 delivers data transfer rates up to 10X faster than USD 2.0 with optimized power efficiency.

Slim Figure---Perfect fit for anywhere
The Fanless barebone system, NanoPC is around 40 times smaller than a typical Micro-ATX PC. It is designed to fit to the back of a monitor or flat screen television by using the VESA mounting bracket included. At the size of a book brings unlimited possibilities to your life and business activities. The slim figure of NanoPC not only plays a part of elegant artwork in your living room but also works as a media center which digitalized your life even more.

Various Applications
NanoPC can fully meet the high definition multi-media tasks common in education such as dormitory PC, and education PC at the education organizations. Additionally, the menu-style configuration of NanoPC is easily adjusted to match your requirements in office building, bank, sales reception and shopping mall; the mini appearance can keep your office neat and clean, enhancing corporate image. High-tech services to make the customers feel honored, upgrading the service value. The wide application would also be used at the services of hotel and catering.

Most of your clothing (depending on where you shop), toys and pretty much everything is too. Not to mention your coffee and chocolate.

I love this thing. Simple.

Why isnt the CPU specifically mentioned. Odd.

Too bad it has VGA/HDMI. Far better to have DVI-D with a VGA dongle, or dp with a HDMI dongle. This device has all the power to drive a hi-res screen.... but cant. :shadedshu

++++++++++

WAIT, there is a DVI version http://gdgt.com/foxconn/at-5250/

But sadly, this is an Atom D2550... just one short of useful.
