FPS goes UP with LOWER core/mem speeds

This is wierd... using ATiTool, lowered clocks from 350/532 (avg. 32FPS in 3D view) to 40/112.88 (avg. 45FPS in 3D view)

What the hell is happening?

Yeah, Doom 3 increased from avg. 30 to 70 in Doom 3 on ultra in Mars City, in fights with more than 3 monsters it increased by 5 avg.

You sure you hit the apply button? For God's sack....40 mhz you should be getting like 2 fps....btw what's your card score in 3dmark?

I know what he's talking about to an extent, my old 7900 GT was kind of picky. At 600 core/800 mem I got worse performance than at 580 core/790 mem. Something about a "delta" I was told.

It's set to automatically apply settings. Maybe it's a bug where it took settings up that particular time? I dunno, just tried it again and now it's slow as hell...

Wierd...

you have to earn points before it puts something there


it helps if you post your hardware correct ie. your 3800 needs to match one of the chips listed
