The Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 is the second generation of the water-cooling friendly Arc series, and it brings many more or less obvious improvements along for the ride. Will these be enough to make an even better impression than the original?

The prices here goes as follows:

Core 3k - €64
Arc R2 - €70 That was the first Arc, the R2 is €82.
Define R3 - €76
Define R4 - €87

I really REALLY wish there was a version without window. I don't like windows. Looks very good otherwise.

Nice review. It looks like a nice case, pretty simplistic. The only gripe I'd have is the plastic front, which may or may not seem a bit cheap, but I guess is acceptable taking the price into consideration. Also probably the best watercooling options for cases around that price range.

70€? Most retailers I've seen have it for around 90.

Yeah I used a price comparing site (whatever you call them) and the one at Pixmania is the first Arc Midi. €82 for the R2. Not sure it's worth it over the Define R3 actually.

Shipping a PC case in 2013 without 4 USB 3.0 ports? That's a paddlin'.

Apart from that, I love this case. Just a question on the review:

Above that are the 140 mm exhaust fan and two small openings for water cooling tubes that are routed out the back of the chassis.

Either I'm blind or there are no openings for WC tubing there...

I have this case and I love it. Was a nice step up from my old Cooler Master Storm Scout

Great review. Further reinforced the decision I made to buy one for my gaming rig. Works awesome and looks amazing when all setup. I guess I'm now a Fractal fan boy since all my systems are in Fractal Design cases!

Oh yes I forgot: Is there a dust filter on the bottom, by the PSU?

i dont think there is, i hope it is proven either that we are blind or it is corrected in the review:cool:

small typo. in dimensions you wrote 230 x 460 x 515m ( W, H, D)
should be in mm :p

it is a great case. In canada you can get it on sale for $65 sometimes. Which is great. I got mine for $90 CAD, well worth it.
Smoked side window makes white LED lighting look even better.
I will say this, in all my years owning 20+ cases, this one is by far the best I ever had. It even beats the Switch 810, in terms of build quality and simplicity.

Subtle logo replaces the large one

Preferred the (old ones) larger logo cos it filled up the space above the 5.25" opening. Great case nevertheless considering not much changed from original
