Greetings,

im in process of chosing my case but im torn between these two cases.
-Cooler Master HAF 700(not EVO): visualy is best, but im worried becouse it lacks front and top dust filter(asked CMs custumer support and was told mesh is fine enough to block dust ) and it has low CPU cooler height(166mm).

-Fractual Design Meshify 2 XL: it has dust filters, is not that huge, so so design.

Witch would you go with?

Those are two really different style cases. One shows off your PC while the other doesn't and one appears to be full tower and the other looks to be a mid tower. I like tha HAF better out of the two but I'll tell you this....If you've never owned a big case like that..they can be a pain because of how heavy they are.....any time you have to move it...you will definitely dread it.

The HAF is also pretty expensive....if you have the money to burn no biggie, get what you like but if it were between an expensive case like that or a better videocard....I'm going card all the way.

Correction: I see they are both on the large size though. I think it comes down more to aesthetics with those two and I prefer the, I can look into my case option.

Tough choice. I'd pull the trigger on the one with the best glass side panel attachment.

-Cooler Master HAF 700(not EVO):
Likes: Front fans, side mounted PSU, front panel I/O, dual 120 exhaust
Dislike: side glass, looks very heavy

-Fractual Design Meshify 2 XL
Likes: dust filters, mesh design
Dislike: side glass, bottom mounted PSU

I’d get the HAF for better cooling out of the box, but for that much money there are quite a few options in between that are better performers and might have better build quality than the HAF.

Just curious why you dislike
After having the 011D for awhile now I dislike the glass more so because I'd rather have some side intake fans for more direct airflow to ram and vrm's.
I don't dislike bottom mounted PSU as much as I really like the side mounted PSU so much more. Watercooling I don't have to worry so much of a leak hitting the PSU in side or top mounting.

Oh, I see, I never go the watercooling route so I hadn't thought of that. In fact, I actually try to stay away from CPU's that are known to run on the hotter side in order to air cool it better. (I'm a wuss when it comes to water cooling). My latest build I went with a smallish case and to be honest everything in there is pretty cool for what I do (most strenuous thing is gaming).

I feel like a lot of these builders (not talking about you) buy these expensive watercoolers and all they do is play games that really aren't really stressing the CPU at all when they would definitely be fine on air cooled.

But, i'm also admittedly kinda old school....been building these things since the 90's

I got into it because my newegg special rx5700 blower card became as loud as an aircraft carrier after 3 or so months of use.

The Meshify is more appealing, it has a classier design and appears less plastic. HAF front end is grotesque.
The filter doesn't really matter, I don't even bother with filters.
You don't need a top filter because the top is an exhaust.

Buy a compressed air blower (Metrodatavac ED500 or similar) and the filtration doesn't matter because you can blast any dust out in seconds. Filters just make things run hotter and restrict air flow any way.

TBF, that’s totally subjective. I’d consider the torrent over either of these, personally.

That compressed air blower is really nice. I didn't know what I was missing until I got one, it was well worth it.

All I can say is I got the XL about 2 years ago -- it's big, its dark, its like 20kg+ and damaged my back, but it's stacked full of SSDs, isn't full of dust, has lots of room for a noctua DH15-whatever and I (personally) like how it looks, down there on the floor (but more than 3 sata SSD trays on bottom of the case would have been nice and the click of the power button is somewhat cheap).
