Well its been 25 minutes and you havnt posted back so your probably still gaming on that rig and the issue is gone.

oops sorry,

well,

N4S Carbono was running nice for more than 5 min, but I lagged a few times.
In ET,I had 125fps stable, but 30-40fps lag was back for few times.
This all with Avast services running. I will try right now TDU.

edit/After 5 min playing TDU, the game crashed, but I didn't notice any lag :eek:

gonna try HL2/E1

0 lag in HL2 and ETQW stable smooth gaming! I will keep it update, but looks like my problem was just resolved :rockout:

i know the fix

use cats 7.7
the 7.8 and 7.9 dont work on agp boards. with my 1950pro the 7.8 or 7.9 would turn all the smartgart settings to off and run agp 4x only.

just try the older drivers and let us know how it works,

yeah 7.8 don't work with AGP but 7.9 do pretty well, and If you wanna play ETQW you must have lastest version....

i'm running omega's

based on the 7.4's i think and can play the quake demo fine.

if its not the problem with 7.8 or 7.9 i have no other ideas srry.

even 7.9 dont work on mine, runs same as 7.8 sh!tty

7.9 works fine here, but hey, my prob is already resolved

this is not the end.at least with wolfenstein et. keeps doing -40 time to time.hope this is the only game where this happens.ill test more tomorrow gotta wake up soon.nows 11:50pm. :/ will try 7.7cats or omegas too

OMEGA drivers don't work, every time I install and restart the PC, windows says drivers are not installed, mabye FAST WRITE option when isntalling has something to do with?...

1 question you have agp 4x or 8x? if u got 8x did you turned 8x on in bios and fast ride, apdative memory ect

/AGP 8x, Fast write ON with omega, but it keeps saying theres no ATI hardware.

/Now I've 7.7 and Fast Write, AGP Write, AGP read, PCI write, PCI read ON.

/I will check it right now. If still doesn't work good, I will try installing OMEGAS again.

To me it sounds like a chipset driver or a pagefile issue. Try gaming with Fast Writes turned off first see if it helps.

ok, Im on it.
Should I try it with avast turned off? or doesn't matter.

Hey, some time ago I updated chipset bios with Gigabyte @BIOS utility, that could be the problem, imma update it again and install lastest drivers.

EDIT1/This is what I have now, mobo BIOS just updated, and AGP Fast Write off, rebooting....

EDIT2/downloading drivers from gigabyte.com

Not trying to make you sound like a n00b but, chipset drivers and a motherboard bios update are 2 completely different things.

ROFLMAO I KNOW, but I think this problem started with BIOS update 1 or 2 months ago. you just remind me it.

run Adaware (lavasoft) and then spybot(search&destroy) for pests but your task manger looked good although stuff can hide in dllhost.dll although this is unlikely.

Just tested Need for Speed Carbono, results: 2min smooth play --- 15seconds of lag --- 2min perfect --- 15seconds unplayable....... :wtf:

I can believe it :mad:
