It has to verify you have the 1080 TI, otherwise people cannot redeem the games so yes, there will be issues.

Make sure that the game is not tied to the hardware. I recall reading about that some time ago.

It verifies via GeForce shit software and stuff. Basically tied to whatever hardware the promo is or so it seemed when I did my free game.

Only 1080TI owners can redeem that it seems. I'd say try For Honor since it's really fun. (It's the one I got from the thingy)
