At the place I work, I want to install a free backup software(most pc's have windows), that at 1 time of week to copy a folder(max 1gb of data) to a outside ftp server, on that server to make the folder to have the name with the date was copy done...and to be easy to use(if it can be)...any ideea of such software?

Yes, i'm using syncback free edition to do that too : http://www.2brightsparks.com/syncback/syncback-hub.html

If you're willing to spend about $30 (I can usually get it for around $25-28), I seriously recommend Image for Windows. Creates a copy named with the exact date and time stamp, and EXCELLENT for doing a bare metal recovery. If all you need is to recover specified files, you can simply use the provided backup browser, and open it like a folder to find what you need to recover.

No, the requirement it is free, hard times are here, on monye side...

No, synkron it is not good(I can use dropbox too for that), because I need to make on each backup a new folder, also from security point of view, I will not use ''cloud'' solutions...
