The percentage bar goes up 0.66% per hour, so a new entry and video per 6-7 days.

The two entries plus the two videos accompanying them look pretty well done.
Everybody is crying "SCP THE GAME!"

The machine has the appearance of a heavily modified monitor fixed to a massive nest of cables and controls. Machinist Peter Strasky found the contraption during a salvage mission the screen rolled and flickered, but it shut down as it was pulled out from the container.

None of the crew stepped forward to take credit, but the construction suggests since Thabo is unavailable for questioning, the machine's origin remains a mystery.

Considering the lack of information and the general unease it has started to cause, the machine will be disassembled.

screen lit up and showed distorted schematics. After trying different switches and keys, the oblique levers were found to be torsion attenuation controls which could stabilize the pict revealing a complex set of instructions. The machine is now under quarantine.

AM Engineer Imogen Reed has asked for an exception Special permission granted.

A standard UH3 articulated robot, active fluid memory with an approximated intelligence shows a much more active mind spontaneously developed a desire to socialize from observing human interaction?

intelligence first noted by Security Officer Douglas Strohmaier while investigating an automated distress signal coming from Construct Depot 11 Mockingbird had pried another UH3 open and removed its AI-unit made motions resembling those of eating, moving it close to its camera, and making sounds similar to smacking of the lips it introduced itself as Chief Engineer Adam Golaski.

Quarantined in T260 Machine Rep during the night it had taken itself apart. AM Engineer Imogen Reed quickly records an interview in case the Mockingbird would continue its self-destruction. appears there is a real Adam Golaski working at Omicron. Invited Chief Engineer Golaski to talk to the impostor construct.

Definitely has my attention. Loved Amnesia The Dark Descent, and I'd love to try out their new game.
    Thanks RCoon :toast:

Pretty sure when it reaches 100% a new diary log and video comes out. At least that's what happened so far.

So stoked for this! Interesting why it'll be on the PS4 but no the Xbox One? Either way I'll be getting it for PC.

Sony actually has the people that made the last Amnesia game (People Behind Dear Esther) working on an exclusive PS4 title. They've been eyeballing these PC success.

Rumor had it this would be Exclusive too, but Frictional knows better.

Interesting. I knew the game that The Chinese Room is working on is a PS4 exclusive, but I hadn't realized Sony was actually involved with it. It's things like this that make me rethink my Xbox One preorder.

Ya luckily Frictional is smart enough to realize they have a pretty good following on the PC.

Frictional you've never let me down  You've always surpassed my expectations and I hope you do this in SOMA too.

Although I'm too chicken shit to play Outlast, I had a blast screaming in my room whilst playing Amnesia the Dark descent having some family members run up to my room and see what's going on :))

    Looking forward to this

Ha, I'm already playing outlast, and I have to say its more focused on Jumpscares than fear itself. Once you see the thing that's hunting you, you don't get scared that easily anymore

Stumbled back upon this thread and went to the main SOMA site, new gameplay teaser trailer up. Everything points to this being pretty awesome IMO :D

This one could grab my attention come launch time. I just hope there's more to it than running and hiding as per Amnesia. In Amnesia it got to the point where the only parts that interested me were the puzzles.

I surprised everybody saying stuff about Amnesia and nothing about the Penumbra series. All really really good games and awesome to play at night with the light off and headphones on. There is also Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs its supposed to be pretty good to but i haven't tried it yet. Can't wait for this game it looks really good

I've played all their games and have loved them since the first. Any theme that pops into their heads, is executed incredibly well. Their latest released game differs a bit because it wasn't made by them, but I still enjoy the original ideas brought by The Chinese room.

    Necropost by me? Check! ;)

So I had forgotten about this game for a while until I was going through my old watched threads, and I stumbled upon this one. It's been a long while since there has been much change on their site linked in the OP, so I just went looking for info on the interwebz, and what I stumbled upon is somewhat disheartening yet encouraging and exciting at the same time.

Apparently this game has been "crazy hard" (that's what she said) for Frictional to make, and what it comes down to is they're really trying to make something amazing while steering away a from the main game mechanic of Amnesia, that of "run and hide" and "narrative...from notes." This has me intrigued because while I really loved Amnesia Dark Descent, I am really looking forward to what the creative minds have been able put together.

Though no confirmation on release date yet, they said that they were closing in on beta status as of February. Frictional has apologized as well on the SOMA silence but promises to release more once beta is official. Very much looking forward to that!

OK me again, a few updates finally. I'm now seeing Sept 22nd, 2015 as the release date for Soma, and that's getting close. :)

E3 2015 trailer, never saw it til just now:

    And here a little gameplay

All in all, I'm excited about this game still, very much looking forward to it.

SOMA is available on Steam for pre-order, $26.99, with Sept 22nd as the release date. I'm glad to see this game pull through and finally about to come to us.

Here's a great video that offers a little glance into the music and sounds of SOMA.
