Friend bought new power supply and now pc wont turn on.

^^^title, was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions cause his pc is right in front of me and Im trying to find out the problem

1. Double and triple check all the connections. Double check that the power-on signal pin on the motherboard is plugged properly.

2. Try another PSU on that system and/or try that new PSU on another system, this would be a great way of verifying DOA.

Did you plug the ATX 4 pin power as well?

Are you getting any beep errors in the bios or can you not get into the bios at all?

not even getting to bios, no beeps he has told me he never had any beeps

So did you plug in the ATX 4 pin as well?

Do the fans spin at all (does it stay spinning and the screen is just black?), check if he has a microphone attached to the motherboard for beeping, some cases don't come with a beeping speaker.

yeah they all spin everything works but theres no start up (bios windows logo etc) everything is just dark

dual 9800gt's with no 6-pin/8-pin, so that wasnt a problem and I checked that first

try removing stuff and testing them one by one. test one video card at a time, then start adding components until you get a beep or an error message. remove all unnecessary USB for now.

its an asus motherboard not sure exactly what exact model
