Futuremark Prepares PCMark Vantage

    Futuremark Corporation, the world’s leading developer of performance-analysis software, is gearing up to release a new version of its PCMark benchmark. Nicknamed PCMark Vantage, the upcoming benchmark is set to provide single click benchmarking for 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft Windows Vista. A release date for the new benchmark has not been given. Click on the "Read full story" marker to see the minimum system requirements of PCMark Vantage.

    Processor
    - Modern processor with SSE2 support
    - Intel Pentium 4 at 3.0GHz or equivalent AMD processor
    - Multi-core processors recommended

    Graphics Card
    - Shader Model 2.0 compliant graphics card.
    - Shader Model 3.0 compliant graphics card for the GPU image manipulation test
    - 256MB of graphics memory for the GPU gaming test recommended

    Hard Disk
    - 1.7GB of hard disk space
    - NTFS File System

    System Memory
    - 1024MB

    Operating System
    - Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate / Home Premium / Home Basic / Enterprise / Business

    Other
    - Windows Media Player 11
    - Latest DirectX Update for Windows Vista
    - Microsoft Internet Explorer 7

    still trying to install it. im on restricted settings on this rig and im trying to get past it to get some benchmarks

    They wont be making anything for XP anymore, theres no point. Unless we get DX11 for XP.

    What about XP x64? It's only 2 years old. Microsoft should support it for at least another 3 years if they stick to their 5 yr plan.
