Wierd problem. FX 8320 wont post on Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P on default settings of BIOS (reseting manual or after reset in bios). Everything spins but no post... If I replace CPU (PII 720 all OK in bios) change some settings like increese FSB to 220MHz, reduce voltage on 1.3V (I know that FX are very overvolted by AMD, they work on much lower voltage than default) and reduce NB and HT on normal and than put back FX system post-s and default settings (displayed in bios not system) are wrong for fx like voltage 1.275V insted 1.335 and NB set on 1400???... Now CPU works on 3.85GHz, 1.3V, memory on 1.46 GHz everything rock stable with temps below 60 C(CPU up to 54 C under intel burn test)...
Now playing to much with settings leeds to many take out, put back cpu with thermal paste and everything, and so I didnt play to much with settings... But reducing FSB on normal 200MHz and no post...?????WTF
Main problem is THERE IS ONLY ONE BIOS IN GIGABYTE SITE FOR MORE THAN YEAR so I only try to reflash bios, all same... Will they update it? Try to change RAM but all same...
What Gremlins are in my BIOS people because this is all but normal????? Or maybe CPU has some defects???
