Game suggestions for a 6 year old girl?

My little one beat Disney Enchanted Princess for the Wii recently.

On the computer side she's almost through Barbie and The Twelve Dancing Princesses as well as Peggle.

I doubt it would work then. The game probably requires at least Pixel Shader 2 and FX5500 doesn't have it. You'd have to upgrade her graphics card to run it.

All the FX cards are DX9. They just dont support SM3.0.

For my input id say Sims2, Spore if you can get it working um like someone said emulators are great. Who dosent like Super Mario on SNES? Also Barbie Fasion Show. Maybe Spongebob Squarepants The Movie for PC. Its a 2004 game so it should run good on that pc. Farcry 2.

I have a kid myself and im trying to figure out what kinda stuff i will want him to play later on. If its still in ill prolly get him a Wii but im sure Nintendo will have something new in a few years. Right now he seems facinated with my Pokemon cards.

My advice is to go out and buy a SNES. Get Super Mario World, Super Mario All stars, and the Donkey Kong Series. That will give her hours of entertainment at a pretty cheap price.

all the mario games on wii are exceptional too, but the OP asked for PC games. Ports/emulated versions of these games are a good idea for sure, however.

Hiya BP! Really cant go wrong with anything that has Mario in the title. For PC, mainly anything with a cartoon character (except for hentai LOL) in the title. I just recently got my 10 y/o neice addicted to TyperShark and Bookworm. She loves Scrabble!

My suggestion is NO video game for young girl or boy for that matter. They should be outside playing sports and exercising. 1/3 of this country is obese so please stay active.

I also suggest some learning motivation games. Maybe a 1st grader's math/reading/science? If your wanting simply a game then I suggest something she likes(ie cartoon, soccer, or whatever).

Gaming is not an absolute problem as long as you get regular exercise. The same can be said of fast food. However, we all know that most people lead a sedentary life style so whatever you can do to promote exercise will be beneficial long term.

Ok, this thread IS NOT for the debate of the effects of gaming on young children. Just drop it. If you don't like the idea, no problem, don't let your kids play games, but don't force your ideals on somebody else.

The OP asked for good PC games for her 6yo daughter, not whether or not it's ok for a 6yo to play games.

i'd suggest simple multiplayer games on a console. i said this before, but now i've had sleep i can make a better argument.

PC games tend to be very solo - very, very few PC games let two people play together, locally on the one machine. Console games your daughter can play on her own, as well as with you. its giving her games to play, without the negative side effects of sitting in a room alone all the time (as you, or her friends can play with her)
