i think its a program that track all your installed games for patches/mods/addons and DL;s them for you.

Suffering been freeware for a couple of days now, i guess it going ingame advertising or something which is paying for the game. Alternately you can download suffering from gamershell.com

Please rate these games. Big download and install time for rubbish... if any are REALLY worth downloading, please recommend.

Full Spectrum Warrior was OK IIRC, you control a squad of soldiers to complete various "desert urban" missions. I'm downloading now, nice find OP

I just installed Rise and Fall, but my computer can't handle it. :(

On tuesday, when the new things arrive, I'll try it out.

Yeah, I think so. It has ads instead, and you have to be connected so the game can update them (at least with Rise and Fall).

I'd say just try it out.. :D

Area 51 isn't all that great IMO, I don't recommend it

The Suffering, on the other hand, it kicks arse!

I don't know if anyone else was affected by this but when I downloaded the Area 51 game and installed it I was met with a Virus .

After deleting whatever it was (thankyou Avast) the game kept spitting out a fatal error.

I posted about the suffering a few weeks back, but I didn't know about these. I also know that Psi Ops is going freeware soon too.

well i installed and played a little of the suffering (just around 5 minutes) and i like the game. or can tell i will like it. the graphics are dated of course, but well done. and you can toggle between default third person and "first person" mode at the punch of a key. the voice acting also seems good. hope it stays good

    ty

    getting the suffering now :)
haven't had that problem. although i got it the other day with a game i downloaded from a torrent. a "generic trojan" of some sort. but when i googled for info, said virus / trojan didn't exist :/

so i "healed" the file (AVG) and continued with install. sometimes anti virus is a little over enthusiastic about detecting things that aren't really viruses. it just might look like a "suspicious" file. so the advanced "heuristics" many AV's use these days start setting off bells and whistles for nothing and might even detect a specific "virus" when no virus is there

the file it detected as a virus was prolly a legit one and when avast took care it it deleted a critical file to the game. so you now get the error. because a file is missing

    probably
