I also cast a vote for Trine or Audiosurf. Have never played Osmos, although it sounds like the first level of Spore. :p

Also, as somone said earlier Dirt 2 would be good as well. Very fun game.

I wouldn't really think an M-rated game would be good for an 11 year old....

Saw the Game, L4D, MW2 bit when they mass murder everyone in the airport, just record it and keep playing it to him. :D

But the games that would be good for him would be Trine, Unreal Tournament III, Halo Series, Oblivion, DA:O (not that bad really), Majesty 2, Assassin Creed I + II, Crysis, Total War Series, Jade Empire, Dawn of War I + II, Battlefield Series, DiRT 2, NFS Shift etc.. If hes fine with a little violence I think those games would be perfect. ;)
