Yup, played them, im still trying to finish Dead Rising 2, I find Mafia 2 quite unpolished and Just Cause 2... maybe Ill try to squeeze more playtime out of it. :banghead:

One more thing, Im always playing games at the highest difficulty,
Maybe its the reason i'm not enjoying??

Last Gen and last last gen, When i was still very very young I would select the easiest diff. and have LOTS of fun.

Some games just become a pain in the ass on HARD difficulty. First play it on easy. Then if you want a challenge, switch to hard. That's what i do. :p

I really enjoyed Mafia II. I loved it all the way.

If you want brain-action games which will make you play the game for a very long time because of difficulty:
Tomb Raider III,IV (especially this one), V
Syphon Filter 1,2,3 (i have not played omega strain)
Even if they are old games i still recommend them, because the modern games are more about commerciality

Although getting really old, its getting constantly updated by a huge Community, and offers really good replay value^^

I still find myself playing this every now and then, while it must be atleast 8years ago when i first played it.
Also alot of fun playing together at LAN's and stuff.

Most of the ones I cant think of have already been mentioned, I also find good racing games like NFS Shift, DIRT2 and GRID for example keep me playing over and over.

but my main addition to the thread would have to be Devil May Cry, the original, fantastic game, and best played through in a single sitting, which is usually 6-8 hours.

when I first hired it out on PS2 with a friend, we were going to take turns but I clocked the whole game, then passed over the controller, and my friend clocked it himself.

Oblivion! Hands down! Replayed that game like 20+ times! I'm not the kind of person to replay games either but with oblivion adding new mods (or even if you don't) its just a different experience each time, especially when you make new classes.

Yup, you can't beat Oblivion. I played quite a bit of Fallout 3 as well.

Titan Quest has a ton of replay value too. I'm actually playing it now.

I'm amazed no one has mentioned the most re-playable game of all time: Doom (1 & 2). There are millions of things to do, and when you get bored of that, go download some WAD files!

And, I may get flak for this one, but Halo 1 had a strong replay value for me. Specifically the Xbox version that had the coop campaign.

Dragon Age: Origins.

Great gameplay, great graphics, great story line, multiple endings, almost limitless options. Very long game. You can replay this so many times, with different results, it is unreal.

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

Great gameplay, great graphics for its age, great story line, a few differing endings. Moderate length. You can replay this, I would say about 3 times, no more.

The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion

Amazing gameplay, amazing graphics for its age, amazing story line, pretty same endings but so much variety, tons of extra quests and pretty non-linear. You can not count the number of times you can replay this.

Empire Earth

Amazing gameplay, amazing graphics for its age, good story lines, linear in the story lines, but with skirmishs and other games, never the same. Completely controlled by the player so you can do what you wish. Re-playability is good. Also a lot of expansion packs. Empire Earth II is better than the first, but in my opinion Empire Earth III is rubbish!

FIFA 11

Amazing gameplay, much better gameplay on the consoles, but PC is still pretty decent even without a controller. Good graphics, obviously much better playing with friends, but even if you do manager modes, tournament modes, career modes...always variety in gameplay. Never, ever will one match be identical to another. Fantastic re-playability.

F1 2010

Amazingly realistic gameplay (for a game), much better with wheel and pedals, alot of variables. You can play the career mode for ever!

EDIT:

Race Driver: GRID

Almost forgot this. Same as F1 2010 really.

Assassin's Creed 1 & 2

While people say AC1 is repetitive, I agree, however the gameplay, the graphics, the mechanics, the placement, the location...its exquisiteness is unbelievable. You can, like me, play this a lot of times over.

AC2 however, is another thing completely. The gameplay is improved, but not massively different. The graphics are probably on par if not better, but as far as repetitiveness goes, its hardly there at all. You can also play this over and over.

As far as the PS3 goes, the only game with infinite replayability would be Civiliation Revolution.

Icewind Dale 1 and 2!

Also Xenon 2 ( old!)

OMFG!! Xenon II - Megablast was/is EPIC!!!!!!! :rockout: The soundtrack was one of the first great video game sound tracks.

Thanks for reminding me of this AWESOME title ;)

Back OT. I think replay value counts for games that are so great that you want to play them again, even if you do know whats coming. So I also say the Resident Evil franchise falls in this category. Resident Evil 1 was that good that I HAD to play and complete the original on the PS1, then the Directors Cut on PS1 and the remake on the GameCube. I hate to think how many times Ive completed various RE titles over the years lol.

But, for games with longevity, you have to look at multiplayer titles ;)

PS: honourable mentions, Mortal Kombat II and Street Fighter II.................they OWNED my childhood!!!!! So many characters, so many moves to master, sooooo many noobs to PWN!!!! :D

I'd have to go with Fear , Doom 3, Quake 4 just for the shock effects and the creepiness.
War titles lose their re playability after beating them for some reason, though I did play COD 4
a few times.

You may find it weird but I played Legacy of Kain: Defiance like 6-7 times!! I just couldn't help admiring the story, graphics, animation and voice acting! Till now the music of this game is playing in my ears!
