The positive version of the other thread.

Deus Ex 2. The only downside is the retarded level system, and no, and SSD does not improve it iirc.

I don't know if everyone else hated it but it wasn't popular at all and that's Capitalism Plus, it's old but did I ever enjoy that game and put too many hours in it.

Deus Ex 2. The only downside is the retarded level system, and no, and SSD does not improve it iirc.

I liked Deus Ex: Invisible War also. I've played it several times over the years and it has problems with the story like when one of the factions sends 2 assassins to kill you and then when you kill them the faction leader says "I hope you've learned your lesson and will cooperate with us from now on" lol ummmm no, you tried to kill me. Warren Spector came out a couple of months ago and admitted that Deus Ex: IW for the PC was an afterthought.

Another game that I liked was Unreal 2: The Awakening. A lot of people didn't like that one either. Both games had big shoes to fill with Unreal 1 and Deus Ex 1 being great and both failed but I liked them anyway.

Omg MM2 was the shit.
And Hard Truck, I remember getting those two together in some pack or something.

No man's sky. Spent over 50 hours in game, much more then in some AAA titles and hoping to play again in few months.

I loved Duke Nukem Forever, but no one else did, except @rtwjunkie :D The old skool gameplay and crass humour were perfect.

I also think that Call of Duty: Ghosts was excellent and had a great storyline, but everyone else slated it for some reason, even the positive reviews on Steam.

What game did you like that no one else did?

This is the opposite thread to games that you hated but everyone else loved.

I loved Duke Nukem Forever

I wouldnt say everyone hated this game. I know it was way over hyped in the 10 years it took it make.

I enjoyed it for the same reasons you liked it.

Lords of Magic

Ricochet (using Goldsrc engine) trouble is since its multi only and no one liked it...pretty much just have bots. Cue Celine Dion

Kingdoms of Amalur : Reckoning

Rise of Immortals : Battle for Graxia. Apparently it was like me and a handful of others who liked it because it died. lol (which is both laugh out loud and the game that killed it)

Anyone remember Blasto? I loved that game as a kid. I still play it on an emulator occasionally.

I also liked STALKER Clear Sky. I don't understand why people didn't like it.

Can't say anything about Blasto, but I'm with you on Clear Sky. Not sure why it's so disliked. The only thing I don't like about it is the faction wars. It's actually great, up until the point where you 'win'. You never win. For example, if you, as a loner, eradicate the Bandits from the Garbage, they always come back. The other loners never come to secure the main Bandit base. Nobody comes to take over their shit. Eventually, you leave and continue on your other stalker business, and suddenly the Bandits come back and their main base is alive and well again.

I remember playing the demo long ago on Christmas eve. I opened our present a psx early secretly in the night with my bro and hooked it up what a thrill lol.

Final Fantasy 12. Sorry, but that darn air battle was just so sweet to watch. Plus, for some reason the battle system did not bother me that much. Though, I will agree the main dude is stupid.
Think only other thing was stupid was the last boss in the main story line. So darn easy to beat. Think only easier one than that was the final boss in FF10. Though, the secret bosses make up for it in 12.

Legend of Zelda:Wind Waker. I actually like the cell shading. Plus, the dungeons where fun.

Lost Kingdoms by FromSoftware on Gamecube. I so wish they make another one, played the crap out of it. First time I ever played a game that was based on cards and deck building that I actually enjoyed. Takes something for me to replay a game three+ times in a row, and go for the secret bosses during each run and all cards. While also going for S rank in each mission.

Oh man, MoH multi was so awesome! That's what started my venture into PC gaming, and it'll always hold a special place in my heart :)

As for other games, I think that I loved Alien Isolation way more than most others did. Not sure if I'd say others hated it, but I really loved everything about that game. I've played it through so many times, and there will be more playthroughs to come.

Good list of mostly good games!

Are you sure all those were hated by most people? I see quite a few that were highly regarded by a lot of people.

Heroes of Might and Magic 4. I liked it very much, I enjoyed destroying whole armies with only my hero still alive and also simply fighting with him or her in direct combat. Everyone else was more into the classical Heroes 3 scenario where the hero can only cast spells and is a more like a spectator (since Heroes 5 he can attack too). I liked pretty much both. Never warmed up with the later Heroes games though.

I don't really have time now to elaborate, but these are some obscure, often critically hated titles I actually enjoyed.

Making History II: The War of the World.
Superpower 2
Sword of the Stars II (ok, the first one was better, but I still liked it)
Iron Grip: Warlord (hey, the retarded AI is fun)
Star Wars: Force Commander (I grew up on this game and the next one)
Star Wars: Rebellion
