Gaming Mouse, Need Help Finding One

Mionix make nice stuff.

I tried out one of their higher end gaming mice a while back. It worked well.

I'm still using my Mionix Propus 380 mouse pad. It's the best mouse pad I've ever had, by far.

Though it does have side buttons, I love the SteelSeries Xai.

I recommend the Xai as well. It's pretty awesome. I now want the Sensei, but I don't have 95 bills laying around. Dammit.

Your requirements contradict one another. Any "Gaming" Mouse that doesn't have side buttons is going to be very plain looking, especially any Ambidextrous Gaming Mouse (Kinzu, Zowie MiCO). Your definition of a "Gaming Mouse" is vastly inaccurate. Gaming Mice are primarily mice with better functionality, not better looks. Look at the Zowie Mouse lineup, all quality mice, that are exceptional gaming mice, and they hardly have any notable aesthetics. Same thing with most non-MMO SteelSeries mice. The only companies that have Mice that look like UFO's usually do it as a gimmick. Razer and Roccat make quality products, but there's no benefit to having a miniature disco ball in your hand.

i recommend Steelseries Ikari be done with it

I'm sorry to say, there is no current plans to make an ambidextrous mouse.

Sadface...

Update: What mouse on the market has the most accurate laser?

Update: What mouse on the market has the most accurate laser?

CM Storm Spawn; ADNS 3090. But it's claw grip. So I'd say your best bet would be a used DeathAdder 3G, which still has one of the best sensors. Built quality isn't so shiny, but looks well eh. The new DA 3.5 uses a worse sensor with higher lift-off and worse tracking. You may also want to go right handed since it will be hard to find otherwise. The G500 would be a solid choice though.

Microsoft sidewinder x3 can be found cheap, i think it has one button on each side, which put me off as i wanted 2 buttons on the left side of the mouse.
Hasnt the Razer Abysuss not got any side buttons too?

Id say the steelseries sensi is the most accurate mouse but its very expensive.

Oh yeah, it's a toss up between that and the Spawn. I wonder how this one would fare:

There is also this

http://www.zowiegear.dk/mice/zowie-io1-1zg-champagne.html

which is an IME 1.1 with better skates and a non-slip, shiny paintjob. I saw those on eBay. If you can find one, it would fit the bill. Only one side button that doesn't get in your way, proven mouse with good malfucation. Looks nice as well. Not sure why you don't want right handed as it fits in your palm.

The IME 1.1 and SteelSeries Xai are probably the best ambidextrous gaming mice at the moment. For a low/mid sens gamer like me the IME 1.1 is unbeatable.

Zowie IME 1.1 vs. MS IME 1.1 I would get the MS version. The textures palm plate is simply more comfortable than the painted one on the Zowie mouse. There are plenty of mouse skates for the IME 1.1 out there so they are easily exchanged. The stock ones on the newest generation of IME 1.1 are actually quite alright.

Have you tried both? So the paintjob actually makes more slippery eh? I agree on the skates, but the stock ones aren't that good. It would be better off with some PureTrak's. The thing that bothers me with IntelliMouse is it's base; it's made out of cheap, rough plastic.

I have them both and the paint does not make it more slippery, it just makes the sweat build up faster, plus the feel is different and in my personal opinion worse than the original. It does look a lot better though.

Does the IME skip tracking for you, BTW? As proven of a mouse it is, I also heard sometimes goes in neutral gear... as in stopping to track for a little while. Also, there're a bunch of modern mice with better functionality/sensors so I wouldn't say the IME is "unbeatable". That's something you'd hear from a GotFrag "NuT" who hasn't tried any other mice. ;)

The IME never skips unless it is broken. You just need to bump the pollingrate to 1000 Hz and it is all good.

Of course there are some that are more advanced but they have to be ambidextrous to fit #0's needs. The MS 400 DPI sensor is one of the best due to its lack of prediction, low lift-off distance, good ergonomics and low price. A good mouse mat is needed though since it uses an optical sensor.

Thought so, cheers. The default Windows polling is the issue with those. I ordered a 3.0 Legends Edition a few days ago, should be on my door not so long. I prefer right handed myself. I got big hands and have gotten used to resting my palm on my DA. I'm on my second DA 3G which I like aside from their junk build quality. Lift-off is a bit high but not as bad as the new ones. Avago 3888 blows anyway. 3688 is superior. The Twin-Eye sensor is problematic, too. I wish Razer went back to their routes.

I never lift up my mouse so lift off is never a problem(I think this is why my thumb and pinky are always bruised with this darn logitech click! thing it is heavier than the Lachesis)

But, I am really divided on mice still looking for that perfect ambidextrous mouse...

Is the Mamba 2011 sensor any good?

Claw Grip is my Grip(Razer recommends Lachesis for Ambidextrous and Claw Grip)

If you're considering the steelseries, someone posted a link for 40% off in the deals section this site.

Looks like they're out of stock on a lot of mice though.

I could care less about gaming mice all i car is how it feel in your hand which i think is more important since that is what we use the most on computers...

Anyhow i love big mice that i can rest my hand on it , for a long time wanted to buy the Logitech Performance MX it felt really good holding it & it support the thumb too...
That's until i tried Microsoft laser mouse 6000 , that is going to be my next purchase it hold my entire hand very comfortable & fast enough for my daily internet/gaming use

I would suggest to go in computers/electronics store or best buy etc.. & try a few demo mice & see which one you like before buying one , it doesn't do you any good to buy a super fast mouse if you don't like the feel in your hand IMO

What I want and need:

-Ambidextrous
-A Scroll Wheel that will last a very long time(You have no idea how important them scroll wheels are till you lose it)
-A non-slip cover
-Preferably only two buttons and the scroll wheel button
-At least 1000Hz
-At least 2000dpi
-It has to look like a gaming mouse
-Under $80

I recently bought the Razer Orochi. It is everything you posted above too.
