Gears of War 5

I've just completed Act 2 (in the ice ) I'm playing on intermediate difficulty setting, much more challenging that Gears 4 in my opinion, which also felt a little short.

Interesting storyline so far, the game looks really good, what's your thoughts ?

So I finished the game a couple of weeks ago and it was good, I expected a better ending, maybe leaving the best for the next one...

I had a good overall experience with Gears 5. I preferred 4 for some reasons (the AI in 5, especially team mates, is terrible...). But that is my main complaint. At least they broke the mould of "fight into underground, fight out, go back underground, come back up" that they had going.

That AI though. Team mates that just stop following you. Don't get you up. Go down instantly in a fight. Don't fire in a fight. Needless to say, without spoilers, when a choice has to be made toward the end of the game, I definitely chose against the specific AI teammate that irritated me the most.

problems with gears games are ... storyline is too short

but its one of those titles that has a good mix of story and gameplay, the characters are what makes up for gears of war.
Marcus Fenix is a badass all round. Same voice actor for Soldier 76 (overwatch)
Basic but the gameplay is pretty solid apart from the ai... which gets stuck at different segments of the game.
Wish there was more end game weapons, traps, and things to do..

yes, they are great games, I enjoyed them since Gears from 2006, was a real game-changer but the latest releases - 4 was short and 5 had too little storyline.

I agree on the 4 too short and 5 lacking a little storyline, but I understand it was to try a new direction with Kate as the main protagonist. I also think 5 is harder, I went straight from 4 into 5, and there was definitely less ammo and more dying, at least at what I thought would be the same difficulty setting.

Also have been a Gears fan for years, played them all, with 1, 3, and 4 probably my favourites. I did like how they call back to the previous games a little more in 5.
