One of the main game sites dropped out after it came out of beta so not sure what gain there was after that
But no not likely going to subscription for it atm.

I'd say most game engines are now thinking why do we need nvidia to do this

This is actually a pretty valid point.
Not to mention a lot of publishers pulled their games form the service. So people that bought the service could very likely cancel the sub after a single month or two. We'll have to see how it fares after 4-6 months.
Also as for me personally, streaming is a big NO.

After a session is over - and you are given proper warnings - you can start a new session, assuming servers are not overloaded.

1h sessions are for free.
For paid membership you get 6h sessions. For the target crowd, this should be more than enough.

I signed up for the premium service, as I'm currently travelling and I only have my five year old laptop with me. I'm using an external screen though.
It works surprisingly well, so all the nay sayers here should give it a try before spreading FUD.
I've only played Apex Legends and Civ VI so far, but both games works well and most impressively, there's no real noticeable lag. It could well be because I have lower ping to the Apex game servers here than I do at home. I've been playing on a 100/10 connection to which I'm connected over 5GHz Wi-Fi.
It has exceeded my expectations, but it's not a service I would pay for in the long run, as generally it doesn't offer anything my PC doesn't. I tried on my phone for a laugh, but it's simply unplayable there imho and I generally don't play FPS games on my phone anyhow.

I'll never put up with interruptions, or fees beyond the hardware and buying the game. So again, nah.

Sony had PSNow for years but didn’t put serious effort on it. I hope they're regretting that decision.

As for Xbox games, I'm more inclined to rent via subscription or outright buy them now that they'll come to steam and PC.

in fact Im working to get as much content available offline to me as possible. A big fat library of all that is and was good in gaming. Might drop that on a server at home and presto. Gaming on the go for free and NOT because company XYZ allows me to with a dozen caveats and limitations. Or content simply vanishing.

Neither MS or Sony benefit from giving you highly desired games on their services. And if they do its because they need more subs. Its one big scheme to extract maximum money for minimal effort. And customers are now used to paying to get a console online... mission accomplished for Sony.

The next move now is to make online access temporary and limited to a specific subset of games. You get drawn in with the games being much cheaper than a purchase, but what you really do is use a rental service. So now you pay for every minute of gameplay and all of that is logged and limited outside of yourcontrol. Based on that data, you get another carefully min maxed profit model.

And that is why one should stay FAR away. Its another loss of control and consumer power.

Last time I gamed on a phone it was during a flight. Then you are trapped, with allmost no internet.

I simply bought a Final Fantasy IX in playstore before... took 15h to finish... there are good games in the store actually.

Actually I enjoy using emulators for old games then, like replaying Metal Gear Peace Walker, I would like to replay all Xenosaga parts too. That is the only good reason for me. No streaming service would help in my case, no matter by bus, plane or train, ship... there are offline situations. If I am at home, I simply would not monkey around...

I cannot see myself using it during travel, as I am busy with sighsteeing and photography more.

That makes absolutely no sense.
A 1h session only means you have to log out and make a short break. After that you can continue normally.
Having multiple accounts give you no advantages - you still have to log out and in once every hour. And, obviously, you can't use the same instance, i.e. load the previously saved game.
