Thermal Solutions specialist GELID Solutions extends its range of Silent fans. Building on their success in the computer fan market, GELID Solutions expands their Silent fan product range to now include 40 mm, 70 mm and 140 mm sizes with fixed fan speed and a 140mm size with PWM module.

The GELID Silent series was designed for silent enthusiasts. GELID Silent fans provide additional airflow without increasing noise levels and at affordable prices. Precisely balanced fan blades and long life Hydro Dynamic bearing guarantee ultra low noise. For Silent 14 & Silent 14 PWM fan mounts replace traditional screws and are made of high quality, temperature resistant, extra long lasting rubber and stop vibrations from the fan motor from travelling into your PC case.

I have a gelid tranquillo Rev.2 and it has, of course, a gelid pmw fan. An earlier one than these. I honestly can barely hear it at full speed. Barely any louder than my cougar fan for reference if you have one of those.

Did anyone ever figure out what made Gelid fans so noisy? They have a premium price but they've got some crappy shit going on with either the motor, bearings, or blade design.
