Recently I have noticed that my pc restarts randomly without any warning. Sometimes the pc stays on for a while and then restarts frequently. I have disabled the automatically restart on system failure in the control panel. I removed my 7600 GT because my power supply could not provide the power but still it restarts. I changed the ram but still it restarts. Can anyone help me. Please email me. cbjohnny@hotmail.com

Sounds like the PSU has been forced too many times to power the card.
Does your CPU/mainboard support SpeedStep / Cool´n´Quiet? Is it enabled?
Because a dynamic CPU clock would preserve the amount of energy that might be critical for your exhausted PSU to deliver.

Anyway, I think you need a new PSU.

    Please post your system specs.

When i remove the PSu from the casing and place it on the floor it works nad pc stays on. I reinstalled xp but it still restarts. I had another 500watt PSU but it would not come on unless i tilted the pc for some reason. The 500watt PSU had 19amps across 12volts.
