I would recommend you to go for the 3570k as it is only a bit expensive than the 2500k, also 3570k is ivy bridge whereas the 2500k is sandy bridge. Your mobo is PCie 3, so go for the 3570k, also it has more integrated controllers than the 2500k. As for RAM for the 16gb memory kit :),

Really at this point, out of the two you have selected I would just get the one that is the cheapest. Both are within their speeds to each other 5-10% and with the new line up coming closer to release it just makes sense to save money cause both will work just as good.

sandy-bridge runs a little bit cooler and is only about 5% slower @ stock sb chips also overclock better in a lot of cases a sb chip wont require a bios upgrade a ivy bridge will

Both CPUs are good but I'd go for the 3570K now. Both CPUs have 1600 and 1866 memory straps but if the 1600 is much cheaper I'd go for that because you won't see a difference.

If he can find one or the other used cheaper that would be the best option. It would be dumb to buy a BNIB 2500K at this point in time.

+1..Agree^ :toast:
