Gigabyte 1050 windforce oc burned up

I was making a project on my workbench and accidentally dropped a solder blob onto the videocard while my pc was running
Well i did removed it and tried to power it up but nothing
can any of you help me?
I respond quickly
Is the huge linear regulator in the picture

Well, probably you'll have to replace that component if it's possible and you can find it or an equivalent, or something else got shorted out. There is not much else we can tell you.

I have to say this is by far one of the most bizarre accidents I have ever seen. Solder on video card while it was still running inside a PC. o_O

Yea i know and its the most impossible too cuz it has a plastic shield that protects almost allll the pcb and... Well there's only that corner that specific power regulator that is left out and the solder landed right there like what where the odds of that happening :'))

Something I've thought about just now. If the damage isn't really obvious, I guess you could try and RMA it if it's within warranty. Obviously, you're not gonna mention any of this.

Well it aint within warranty ...it expired like 2 months ago

I did found this on the board... So i guess that's the problem
A crater right in the middle of that ic... And i doubt its smth i can replace..

It is probably not worth the effort to try and repair it, good thing it was a relatively inexpensive card.

Look up the info on that ic, and iy is a smd typically now
