I have three questions about the Gigabyte AORUS FV43U if someone would be so kind...
I've had my Samsung U32E850 for a few years and it's okay however there is one thing that absolutely drives me nuts.
The OSD covers the clock and I can't move the damned thing.
If anyone here has a Gigabyte AORUS FV43U I sure would love to see a picture with the OSD. I'm running Windows 10 with the taskbar at the bottom.
Also: the only other complaint I have about my current monitor is that it suffers from the dreaded no-signal from DisplayPort connectors. I'm the lead developer of an entire web platform so when I can no longer get a signal from my computer because the monitor refuses it's a huge blow to productivity. In trying to avoid a sacrilegious (and blind) reboot I've come across plenty of other people with different monitors who have had these issues. So I'm hoping that FreeSync works on both HDMI and DisplayPort. Early on I was a huge supporter of DisplayPort since the people who made HDMI were a bunch of dicks and told manufacturers to intentionally hide the version numbers from consumers and HDMI was always behind the times. So I had to choose between HDMI on this screen or Freesync on DisplayPort with randomly once every one or two months losing my work session. It was nearly a grand when I bought it circa 2014 so I'm really hoping the Gigabyte model doesn't suffer from that nonsense. It looks sweet otherwise.
- Does the OSD cover the clock at the bottom-right for Windows 10 and if it does the screen at least allow you to move the position of the OSD?
- Does the screen run at 144Hz at 3840x2160? (RefreshLock Configuration program works great for avoiding the twenty windows deep hidden option)
- Does Freesync work on both HDMI and DisplayPort?
