I have the Gigabyte g1 gtx 970. It performs well, stays under 60C, idles at 22C, and is very nearly inaudible. Can anyone confirm the g1 gtx 1070 is as good at this at cooling and quietness? I had a quick look and it seems to have the same fans, which makes me hopeful.

All I can say is don't buy a Gigabyte they are good for noise and problems you didn't hear from before. Just have a look around here in the forums. At this point I'd get a MSI or EVGA probably.
