Being that I know im not alone when it comes to small issues with this board. I would like all those with this board to post here soo we can all help eachother to get the most outta of our rigs.


This thread will be utilized for troubleshooting, tweaking and OC'n help.

Awesome. I already have my fan picked out to mount to my northbridge. Did you have issues with the plastic pins when reapplying the thermal paste?

no, you gotta take the whole mobo out though, just use some plyers on the plastic bit and pop them out, the popback in easy

aww, make sure youve got some cotton buds and contact cleaner to get the old stuff off

Good. I was thinking about taking some small nuts and bolts with plastic washers to mount it better. I hate when they only mount chipset heat sinks with two push pins its always been assinine to me.

thats a good idea, wish id thought of it, the springs are a little sloppy, but yea, that sounds like a plan.

that would be good, i was gonna take some befor, i thought my cam was out of batterys so went to grab some befor put them in and it still didnt go o well, ive got a vid cam but it take really bad still pictures. cell phone even worse lol

It`s nice to read that mate From F5 I noticed temperatures increased on processor (on my old Phenom 9850BE).

I skipped F5 actually. I had been running my 4600+ in the board for a few months and didnt even upgrade until I got the Phenom. Ill log all temps before and after the BIOS upgrade.

Hey guys sorry I forgot my flash drive last night soo I couldnt update my BIOS. I have it in my pocket soo I dont forget it. I did redo my thermal paste although I still used the plastic pins to resecure it. I need to pick up a digi therm today soo I can better monitor the temps.

Morning all I flashed to F7a last night soo far so good. I don't see any additions. I don't know how I feel about the new aod though I was tweaking the multi and set it to 15 and when I went to apply it it didn't even bsod just turned off I had to ¶ull the cmos and wait a minute. I recommend the F7a bios.

Hey Wajtas are you still having your boot issue? I noticed that it was easier and faster to get into my BIOS after i went with the F7a. Also do you get a post screen from your 8800? I know I had one when I had my 9600gt and I noticed that since I went back to the red team that shaved off maybe 1 second off my boot time.
