Why are you running a 980Ti with it? Looks like the cards got mixed in GPUz.

Remove one of them and reinstall drivers.

Yeah. Thats the thing with running two different cards. Unless they are from the same generation in this case either Pascal or Maxwell (pick ONE) they won't work because Nvidia thinks youre trying to SLi them and won't allow it.

If you want to run dual GPUs either pick a card from the same generation or run one Nvidia and one AMD card - I know this works because I have done the same in the past. I used a HD6450 as a soundcard.

- So basically I was wrong. I have paired a Nvidia GT210 with newer and older gen cards and they never seemed to play nice as they create some sort of conflict. Maybe it was just the board i was testing it on. But for the record it supports AMD crossfire.

Maybe i was right at the time? Maybe Nvidia changed something with the drivers to stop them creating some sort of conflict when two cards of different generations are in the machine? Maybe? Possibly?? I mean Nvidia changing some functionality of their drivers, be it enabling or disabling something is not totally unheard of.

All i know is at that time It wouldnt work. But rather than delete my post like I wanted to. It was better to correct it.

I have a similar gigabyte card (Gaming OC) and I updated my drivers to the latest last night for the Battlefield beta and they installed just fine

Ok. Is that reason why the GTX 980 ti and GTX 780 ti can work together.
When I run the system with 780ti and 980ti, there is no issues.

DDU everything gaphics related (ie wipe everything to 0) then unplug any pcie graphics (other than the 1080ti) physically. After that make a fresh driver install and test it in games and 30 minutes of furmark. That is the only way.

If ur system ran issue-free with kepler+maxwell combo (ie 780ti and 980ti), it doesnt mean it would run with maxwell+pascal combo. And in the end, what is the point of running 2 gpus like that? (as both are only suitable for gaming, and only one being better than the other). If it were something like HD 7970 + 1080ti, i would understand (HD 7970 has high fp64 performance)

What is the ASPEED graphics family driver?

Ok, so you are running with ASPEED "Onboard Video for Intel® Server Boards and Systems Based on Intel® 62X Chipset" as well?
Do you need it?

Like, at all? Did you try flashing the vbios previously and botched it?
Maybe the original user tried flashing the bios. I got it from ebay. It does not display even the DOS start-up screen. When the monitor is connected to the 1080 ti, the monitor light flashes twices/thrice without displaying anything.

What is the ASPEED graphics family driver?

Ok, so you are running with ASPEED "Onboard Video for Intel® Server Boards and Systems Based on Intel® 62X Chipset" as well?
Do you need it?

I just wanted to install all drivers.

Sounds to me like an improper bios may be on the 1080ti, possibly by a previous user, so this user may need to find the proper vbios.

This is just wrong, I run different generation nVidia cards constantly. It just won't let you enable SLI, but they can run side by side in the same system just fine.

The VBIOS 84.00.32.00.01 in the GPU-Z screenshot is for: NVIDIA GTX 980 Ti 6 GB

You will need one of these VBIOS I guess , but @eidairaman1 is the expert.

You need to follow my directions carefully. I am updating this reply so give me time.
This will ensure cleanest gpu reinstall possible.

Make sure monitor is hooked up to motherboard and not a gpu.

1. Download this tool

2. Download the Latest WHQL Geforce 1080Ti driver from nvidia.com

3. Get the latest stable chipset drivers for your motherboard from intel.com or amd.com.

4. Get this Tool

Alternates

5. Get this bios.

Alternates

6. Disconnect from the internet by unplugging ethernet cord or turn off/disable wifi adapter.

7. Extract all.zip files.

8. Run Display driver uninstaller with administrator privileges/rights by right clicking the .exe

9. Uninstall as if you are changing die brands (from nvidia to AMD),do it for all Nvidia GPUs.

Then find Add or Remove Programs in the control Panel and uninstall any nvidia related drivers there and delete the C:/Nvidia folder.

10. Shut system down and remove the 980 ti from the system and put the 1080ti in the top pcie 16xslot...

11. Power up. Open a command prompt and run NVFlash.exe -? Or /? For all commands.

12 Then flash the 1080 ti,
restart. Then plug monitor into card in question and verify it illuminates (check monitor osd is changed to correct input used.

Then install the gpu driver for the 1080 ti...

Already downloaded this DDU version and I already performed the DDU driver uninstallation processes and then installed NVIDIA driver GTX 1080 TI - 391.35-desktop-win10-64bit-international-whql.exe

Yes correct. Had a 2080 TI and 2x 1070 running fine for quite some time ;)
