Hello guys,I'm all the time using n DVI from times with 60hz , after DviDual with 144hz , now I got the new one gpu and I feel rly bad with HDMI cable,on rtx there is no more DVI ports just 3xDp 1xhdmi and I just got monitor (xl2411) without Dp so I buy with card n HDMI cable (I found too late HDMI not support 1080 144hz) .. anyway , at 60hz lock , quality in game seems like rly terrible,is there any solution ? I have in bios spidf , I must there choose HDMI ? Also if anyone know how to make work that aorus software , I'ma be glad . I got the first day HDMI , I really miss quality with old DVI . Would be awesome if anyone got any advice for me,also I have soon look for dp monitors right ? I'm sorry , thanks for any advices and have a good day cheers.

It all depends of what version of HDMI your monitor (and cable) supports; you didn't mention that.
The RTX 2070 uses HDMI 2.0b and DP 1.4.

See the limits of refresh of different HDMI standards here (8 bits/color):
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI#Refresh_frequency_limits_for_standard_video
And for 10 bits just below:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI#Refresh_frequency_limits_for_HDR10_video

For DP: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DisplayPort#Resolution_and_refresh_frequency_limits

PS: My 4k monitor has as inputs HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.2... and I am using DP for connection because it supports Free Sync. Also, I had to buy a good cable.

At the same time with the arrival of these cards RTX 20X, it will perhaps allow to have 1080 for not too expensive new or OCCAZ
