This year, rather than going to the usual place up on Georgian Bay (Lake Huron) in Ontario, I'm planning on a "stay-cation", doing day sorties on the bike(s), going to the beach and picking away at projects around the house. Oh, and playing some PC games.

Favorite summer story. Back in 1988, my brother in law drove from NY to NH in a 1978 Subaru wagon. The side panels were literally duct taped together so there was no chance of getting it inspected and he found another car. So what to do with the Subaru? We found a local sand pit and had the time of our lives, being airborne several times, ended up breaking an axle, but it just would not die. I had gotten out and he kept on going. Watched as he did donuts, smashed into sand piles, and then into a console TV that someone had junked. The TV blew up as he barreled into it. Finally, the car just wouldn't budge. We took the battery and left. A week later we came back out of curiosity, found the car full of bullet holes, put the battery in and it started right up! Would not move, but still a miracle. Never had so much fun.

MTB Beach Ride: 104km from my downtown till the beach, fully mountain and mud ride! i love 26" bikes!

Friends Lan Party: we are arranging a lan party at my best friends home, we'll be playing Halflife Deathmach local & online, unreal tournament local only, lan and of course, to close the day ! Left 4 dead 2 ... 4Player cooperative! hoping to have some beers and BBQ wings (unfortunately im the cook there! )
