[Giveway] Sapphire Nitro R9 390 8GB

Hey guys, Been awhile since I posted. So I decided I wanted to give back to the community that has been stellar. I have a Sapphire Nitro R9 390 that has been collecting dust, that I figured someone else could make use of. Based on reviews by our very own Mr. W1zz this GPU should still be viable for gaming at 1080P Medium-High settings.

In order to be entered you must be a active TPU user that has contributed to the forums in some way and must have a actual need of the GPU; either you have a less powerful GPU or no GPU at all. If you want to be entered post below stating interested and maybe a good story of your gaming adventures.

Giveaway will last from May 23, 2021 7AM CST until June 6. 2021 12AM Midnight

Giveaway will be limited to the US due to the cost of shipping and current shipping delays internationally

What exactly constitutes as "contributing to the forums"? I'm interested, as I'm currently running 2 GTX 650 Ti BOOST 2GB cards (but only use one since my motherboard doesn't support SLI), but I don't want to enter if I don't qualify. If I don't feel free to remove my post - I wouldn't mind the upgrade but it's not a necessity right now.
I do live in the US.

I don't play too many games on my computer right now as we're finishing up school, but once on summer break I'd like to play Relics of the Past (a Zelda Breath of the Wild mod) on Cemu. My current cards can get 15-20 FPS which is not a fun experience (game runs at half speed). There's also one or two Steam games that I'd like to play, but I don't remember their names (and I haven't had the time to ask my dad to sign into Steam yet; we have a family account and I had to reinstall Windows recently due to a stupid mistake).
As a bonus, it supports macOS Big Sur with a bit of work (I have macOS Big Sur installed on my computer, and my current cards along with the 390 support it).

First and foremost, you're awesome for doing this, especially at such a time.

This gpu would be far faster than anything I have and a serious upgrade. I primarily need gpu power to just look at high-res pdfs for work.

My gaming adventures fizzled out in the 486 days as it got expensive and time became less. Before that though, Atari 2600 and c64 were my gotos, almost once a day, especially during summer vacation.

I'll throw my name in the hat for the 390. Yes, I have my current 10850k system, but my 3930k set-up needs a GPU so I can get it running/crunching again. And yes, I'll donate it to the WCG giveaway with the 3930k system if that grabs traction.

I'll toss my hat into the ring. For what I use my computer for, the 390 is about as new of a card as I need and it's better than my APU graphics.

maybe a good story of your gaming adventures.

Ok the year was 2003...end of January. Watching the news that we had U.N. weapon inspectors working in Iraq, but the president was looking to declare war regardless. Interesting to me because we just left San Diego for scheduled deployment, headed straight to the Persian Gulf.

Our crew came prepared. In our lounge (reactor controls and reactor electrical) we had plenty of card tables and they fit the monitors easily for cross-connecting the 4 Xboxes for 16 man HALO.

We ran that game nearly 24/7. Sometimes we had to stop and cleanup the lounge and berthing area, but generally we could even work around that. We had other divisions come to our lounge to get pwned (especially reactor mechanics) as well as chiefs and officers.

It started to get really bad when people stopped sleeping, bathing, eating, or doing maintenance. They were going to stand 6 hour reactor watches, get off watch, play HALO for hours then go back on watch.

Finally a reactor electrician had a blood vessel burst in his eye which needed medical attention. That's when our department head, Captain Hamilton finally shut us down.

That's also the deployment where I had to get a rubber anus, but that's a story for another time.
