Yeah, it's a nice deal, especially with the 7900GT's in SLI and 2 Raptors. If everything is working well, it's a stealat $450. +1 on the psu though. You'll want to replace it.

This actually sounds too good to be true. Do you know the guy or you found it online?

I'm selling my system for about $800 with free shipping, for $350 more its much better than the system you listed...Core 2 Duo 6420, HD 3850. Let me know if you're interested, I'm not allowed to link my eBay auction.

Regardless of how good the system is, if you bought it and parted it out, you could go ahead and buy OrbitzXT's system and probablly still have cash left over. That is a hell of a good deal. You could get close to $200 or more on the memory alone!

it does sound too cheap. by "friend at local pc store" do you mean a friend of yours who works there, or some guy trying to be your friend to get buisness?

how old is it and has it been clocked untill it cried mommy?

its not a good deal if things are all just worn out components and hes trying to sell while it still works.

is it the same friend who tried to rob you blind with this great deal a few days ago? http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=50443

the last time this friend had a deal for you it was:

    Chieftec case
    A8N-32 SLI mobo
    Dual core 4400 939s
    2-7600GT's in SLI
2 gigs of low latency Corsair memory
Windows XP Pro and Vista Ultimate on dual boot
    2-250Gig. SATA hard drives
    Zalman 9500Led CPU cooler

Asking price for this deal was $700.00

so why would you give them another chance to rob you?

now dont get me wrong, it sounds like he knows he got caught trying to rob you blind and is offering a repackaging of mostly the same parts with a few changes for a lot less but i still think you should say thanks but no thanks and run dont walk to the nearest exit.

in your last thread you realized it was far better to build a new system, so what changed your mind about it? you have plenty of help here from us to guide you through it.

A used gaming PC is like a modified car, you know at one time or another it's been thrashed but by how much?

Just make sure you get a warranty with the rig.

I think a fair few of the parts in the machine are going to keep thier value for a while still.

    This deal arrived through NEGOTIATION.
It was my bad that I misunderstood the 7900GT's to be 7600's.
I talked him into the 150 raptors (one slightly used) and had him drop the 2 operating systems to get to this price.

This guy is in his late 40's and not into the bragging rights of benchies.
I know his son, (he used to work at the same shop) and I believe them when they both tell me
    it has not been abused.
This shop is a little more expensive than an internet shop to be sure, but it is nice to go to a brick and mortar building once in a while to talk shop, and get deals on the employees older stuff.

Grab it.. Sounds all good.. Brand of PSU is not my faverate though. Watch out for dust build up on 7900's i found mine was terrible and had a terrible cooler on it which allowed the ram to over heat..

well this is all about "trust" so if you feel you can trust him and he is being truthfull about the system then it sounds like a fair deal.

from someone you can trust i say buy it, its a good price.
