Looking for a game that me and the gf can play occasionally when she gets the itch to play a co-op game. Something that we can just play over our network.

She loves D2, I thought it was ok, I was hardcore D1 so just never rolled around to D2. Either way looking for some sort of Dungeon Crawler. Was thinking NWN 2, already looked at Titans Quest and ruling that out. Seeing if there are other things I'm missing here.

so you guys like RPG?? if she likes shooting then get left 4 dead

Eh, shes not much for shooters, and I'm not much for L4D, already gave that a shot.

Granado Espada, Lineage 2, Guild Wars..? =x

its sad, but LAN coop play has taken a dive in recent years. Its finally making a comeback, but we arent there yet. (L4D, RA3, HAWX - all have coop, but all are flawed in various ways)

RA3 you cant even coop on LAN, has to be online. HAWX has story mode coop, but you dont actually GET the story when playing in coop mode... L4D is the best, but you ruled that out.

Oh, just remembered, try out Dungeon Siege 2, set a lan/wlan ^^ it's a nice game, but quite old. :p

me n my wife are always playing guitar hero 3, world tour, and GH metallica, cant get enough.

Not really looking for another MMO, we both play WoW. And we would play that together, but the problem I have is when I have fun with a class and it's an open ended game I tend to want to just play that class non-stop and I out level her. So Just looking for something that has an end to it and I can be more relaxed with.

Yeah, not many LAN games out there anymore, kind of sad. I'm sure I'll recognize it once you say it, but what is RA3?

Yeah we got Rock Band and play that now and then, we had beaten it on the medium setting, which is about the best either of us can play. But speaking of consoles so more examples of games that we had played are...

  • Champions of Norrath 1 + 2
  • Baldur's Gate Series

RA3 = red alert 3.

go back to the old days - counterstrike :D

But online COOP has been rising :).

ETW has coop but is flawed all so by not having enough content ( dam shame too ).

NWN2 Is dam good in COOP but it's nothing like NWN1 in many ways and has it's annoyances. But still a load of fun.

Armed Assault but i have a feeling it's not the type of game your both after.

Godfather 2 ( don't know if it has a option for lan )

Company Of hero's if you like that kind of game you have MANY hours of play. ( no lan option i believe ) Have coop though

Tiger Wood 08 although this might be a long shot but has the game options for lan which can be used for wan games with your friends around the world.

remember that guitar hero 3 is on pc.

Company of hero's is great but don't forget to try Men of War. My x-gf loved playing NWN2 fwiw.

halo 1 maybe ????

Need for speed most wanted has great LAN play.

Company of heroes has no coop mode. It does have LAN mode. (Have you even played the game?)

Try the lego games. lego star wards, lego indiana jones, lego batman. They're barely shooter, but they're all coop.

Hm... Oblivion has some sort of freaky online mod that somebody wrote up for it but I don't know if it's still alive.

morrowind had the multiplayer, but it was excessively buggy.
