Nvidia stops production RTX 3080 12 GB due to falling prices
Makes sense.
So many people cried about lack of VRAM on the 3080. Nvidia took advantage of stupid people by adding 2 more GB (which really isn't going to make a difference) and gave the new 3080 12GB a slight bump in performance. Then they tack on $300-400+ and let stupid people gobble them up for that extra 2GB of VRAM and around 5% performance gain over the 3080 10GB. Win for Nvidia.
Now that things have officially quieted on the GPU end, why waste resources on a GPU that's being priced to the point of the 3080Ti.
