Yes, suspect. Consider that i mentioned its possible a bad tube was used, but:
-deep scratches, you would have to apply pressure to wipe away gritty material to scratch the surface
-showing the black substance after wiping off the thermal paste, which are metal oxides, this has nothing to do with thermal paste, nor does this prove its gritty
Those shown here are so superficial the impact on thermals is not likely, why make such a strange post with the word "deception" in it?
Suspect? Are you insinuating that I'm trying to create a conspiracy against TG or their products? I'm not a kid or embittered person which try put down someones reputation just by fun or something else. I even tried attack TG because shits can happen with anyone IN NONE MOMENT I TOLD "OMG MY HARDWARE WAS RUINED, MY SHINY HARDWARE"....
And I wiped this paste like I did for decades which another any brand, havent seen this before. I'm not telling an april folls story here, I bought it, used it and thats it!
And MAN, are you mad? I suposed to be HAPPY with an expensive paste which made scratches on my harware? I DONT SEE ANYWHERE telling that I have to be extremely cautions by wipe this thing, like I said I tested and it performed same than mx4 that costs a fractions of its price. I suposed to be happy with this?
Much thanks! I will read later and reply for another users. today I'm very busy and hope it ends in this nightJust as a follow up...
[SOLVED] Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut PSA (nasty scratching)
How does spreading it (with presumably such little pressure) scratch an metal IHS? If this is gambling, I will take those odds any day...................thanks for the heads up and all, but I'll continue to take my chances (and win). :) Paste materials might be improperly ground? How should I...www.techpowerup.com
The Rep that replied to the thread is inactive but they left an email address so i guess that would be your first port of call.
If you search the the forum for Kryonaut - the first 10 or 20 threads (probably even 30...) you get are about pitting/scratching to CPUs/GPUs and coolers. Its not a one off occurrence. TG are aware of bad batches in the retail channel but i guess they have shipped too much product out to do a complete product recall so dealing with people who have received damages from using their products on a case by case basis is probably cheaper for them
